John's Island Community Service League

Transforming lives in Indian River County

Who We Are

We are dedicated to supporting charitable agencies in Indian River County (IRC) that focus on vital areas such as health, education, and human services. Our primary mission is to raise funds to cover their operational expenses, ensuring they can continue making a meaningful impact in the community.

In recent years, we have been able to make grants and scholarships in excess of $2,00,000. It is only because of the generosity of our John’s Island community that we are able to support operating expenses for so many agencies that serve women, children and families in need as well as provide scholarships to John’s Island employees and their dependents.

We are primarily involved in raising funds for operating expenses of charitable Agencies in Indian River County (IRC) concerned with the health, education, and human services issues that affect women, children and families in need.

Our Programs

Grants

We awarded $1,464,500 to 40 agencies for general operating expenses. Each agency is screened to ensure they meet our mission, are a 501 (c)(3) and have audited financials.

Scholarships

This program began in 1999 in conjunction with Indian River State College for the post-secondary education of employees’ dependents, and has grown exponentially since then.

Sponsorships

Our actions speak louder than words. Today, the service league is at the forefront of change in Indian River County with 1,000 members (men and women) strong and nearly 250 volunteers.
